Female INEC Officer in Rivers being taken to hospital after she was beaten

The highly contentious rerun election in Rivers State left in its wake many troubles, as the process was trailed with violence allegedly from security operatives and political thugs. 

Pictured is the INEC Electoral Officer for Emohua Local Government, Mary Tonkoyo, being taken to the hospital after she was allegedly battered in the course of carrying out her duty.

The security authorities should look into the report of violence and compromises and do the needful.
